Education is a vital component of the Indian Film Society's mission and programming.
We help schools, universities and social organizations to set up clubs that provide young people with the chance to watch, discuss and review a diverse range of films – feeding their imagination and nurturing their social and intellectual development. In addition to Q&A sessions and panels at our regular screenings and annual festivals, the IFSUAE holds series of master classes with internationally known Indian filmmakers at our schools, universities and social organizations.
Film is a uniquely powerful medium, which can introduce young people to a wider world while promoting better learning, improved social and communication skills and raising aspirations. In support of our mission of educating the next generation of filmmakers, short films are presented at our regular screenings and festivals.
